The primary goal of the Weed Control program is to provide prevention, suppression, and total eradication of weeds in the County right-of-way, canal banks, and railroad areas.

Request for residential weed spraying for NOXIOUS weeds should be made by calling 468-2861 or filing a report with this form.
The primary goal of the Bee Inspector is to track migration of the bees and to move unwanted nests. The Bee Inspector is active during Spring, Summer, and Fall. Requests for Bee Inspections should be made through Operations 562-6418.

Does the spray cause any damage to other vegetation?
It can cause some problems. Spraying is not done on windy days or foul weather days. All precautions are taken to avoid any damage to desirable flowers and plants.
What if there is a vacant lot with overgrown weeds and how do they get taken care of?

What is a noxious weed?
There are 18 different varieties of noxious weeds. The County has designated the following weeds as noxious:

- Medusahead Rye (Taeniatherum caput-medusae)

Who maintains the trees, bushes planted in the Right of Way (parking strip)?
It is the homeowner’s responsibility to maintain the right of way which abuts the road in accordance with County Ordinance 14.44.010.
